Health Care businesses and Education are becoming borderless, and are following the same global trail as sciences, technologies and economics in the past. Just as Researchers, companies and start-ups are always searching for the best location for their activities in the world, we now see patients and students doing the same. Aging demographics in developed countries and the increased influence of newly emerging countries has fueled a broad social consideration of Quality of Life improvement, including healthcare provision. Cross-border competition will further attract people and broaden the scope of QOL activities.
In this course, we discuss strategies and options of global healthcare companies. This also includes consideration of the role and policy of government, who, as the market administrator can enhance market attractiveness., In addition, there will be discussion on what we can do to make Japan one of the leading, global centres for such innovation.
